Toss – West Indies won the toss, opted to bowl first
1st innings – What question were fired on present Sri Lankan team, they failed to answer them. On a spinning surface force to bat on, Sri Lankan failed to make a good start. By the end of batting power play, Sri Lanka were 41/2 in 6 overs.
They lost 2 more wickets in 8th over and by the end of 10th over, Sri Lanka were 54/5 and desperately needed a partnership. Angelo Mathews and Perera manage to make a partnership and helped Sri Lanka to reach not a good but a competitive score.
2nd innings – After Gayle missing the batting due to minor injury, West Indies had to all go without him. Fletcher and Charles open the innings for West Indies. They made a slow start and found it difficult to face the Sri Lankan spinners.
Andre Fletcher carry forward the match with amazing 50, and when the team needed him the most. He helped WI to win against Sri Lanka by scoring 84 off 64 balls.
West Indies won by 7 wickets by scoring 127/3 in 18.2 overs.
