As per the schedule of Indian Premier League Season 9, it will be Match no.32 to be played between KKR and KXIP on 4th May 2016 .The match is venued at KKR’s home ground Eden Gardens Stadium which will resume from 8.00 p.m. (IST) onwards. Once again KKR will come back to familiar home conditions but will be wary of Kings XI Punjab, which is now showing signs of improvement under the new appointed skipper Murali Vijay.

Kings XI Punjab – KXIP on the other hand unlike last season of IPL is still struggling in the tournament matches. They were able to make their way into the semifinal in the first season of IPL, but then after the team’s performance went on declining with exception in 2014, which was their best performance till now. Last game ended with positive note for Punjab winning against strong Gujarat team and will be hoping to progress in the later stages.

Toss – Kings XI Punjab opted to bowl first
1st Innings Highlights – Yet another match to bat first, and KKR did it well. The openers did exactly what they have been looking to do in the tournament. Gambhir and Uthappa made an opening partnership of 101 runs in 81 balls.
The rest was 63 runs in 39 runs from the blade of Uthappa, Yusuf and Russell. Interestingly, all the batsmen were run out, none of the Kings XI bowler picked up a wicket. KKR’s innings ended at 164/3 in 20 overs.
2nd Innings Highlights – In response of 165 at rate of 8.25 per over, Kings XI were 13/3 in 3 overs. KXIP managed to score 37/3 in batting power play. They needed 128 in 84 balls and Maxwell played an innings which brought KKR in doubts.
Maxwell scored 68 off 42 and brought to 120, and needed 45 in 30 balls. But, wickets stumbled in the middle and KXIP were on the losing side. KKR won by 7 runs, as KXIP ended up at 157/9 in 20 overs.
