Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan T20 World Cup 2016 Match Highlights – So, the stage is set for the 16th match of the ICC World T20, and the only match played today of the Super-10 Group 1. The match is to be played on Eden Garden, Kolkata and will be first Super-10 match for both this teams.
The second match of Group-1 with West Indies the table, both these teams will try to make some point. As later, the competition is expected to get tougher.

Toss – Afghanistan won the toss, and opted to bat first.
1st Innings – After winning the toss on a good batting track, Afghanistan lost their inform batsman Mohammad Shahzad in just 2nd over. Noor Ali Zadran and Asghar Stanikizai continued at slower pace. At the end of batting powerplay, Afghanistan were just 36/1 in 6 overs.
They lost 2 more wickets in 9 wickets, and brought a great pressure on upcoming batsman. Afghanistan were 51/4 in the end of 11th over. It was disappointing attempt from Afghanistan.
Stanikzai with the help of Samiullah Shenwari contributed 61 runs partnership to bring them on track. Stanikzai’s 62 in 47 balls brought a set a comfortable score of 153/7 in 20 overs.
2nd Innings – In order to chase a 154 in 20 overs, Sri Lanka made a comfortable start with a run rate of 8 an over. At end of batting power play, Sri Lanka were 41/1 in 6 overs.
When it matter the most, Dilshan step up to the task and made a good half century to catch up the with the required run rate. Wickets got stumbling, but Dilshan stand there on the crease to hit the running run.
Sri Lanka chased the total of 154 by scoring 155/4 in 18.5 overs.
